Meet Jacksonville Optometrist, Dr. Gerry Balski
Dr. Balski graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Biology. At Nova Southeastern University, he continued his education and earned his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.). Dr. Balski’s graduate studies consisted of internships and externships in specialty contact lens fitting, pediatrics, primary eye care as well as working with glaucoma, cataract, and retina specialists. Dr. Balski has worn some type of visual correction most of his life due to being near sighted. Being exposed to optometry at an early age, he became interested in a profession where one person can help another see.
Meet Orange Park Optometrist, Dr. Andreea Mocanu
Dr. Mocanu graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature and received a B.S. in Vision Science from Nova Southeastern University. Also from Nova Southeastern University, she earned her Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.). Dr. Mocanu’s graduate studies consisted of internships and externships in specialty contact lens fitting, pediatrics, primary eye care as well as working with glaucoma, cataract, and retina specialists. Dr. Mocanu is multilingual and can perform eye exams in Spanish, Romanian and English. Dr. Mocanu has worn contact lenses and glasses. She has been interested in Optometry from early on as both of her parents are also Optometrists.
